Meng scored 16.8 ppg for coach Brittney McNamara as a junior, en route to earning All-Ohio Second-Team honors. She was also named Lorain County Miss Basketball this season. As a senior, she averaged 16.2 points and 17.0 rebounds, leading Midview to its first state tournament appearance. Meng is a 6-4 center who attended Midview for her final two seasons of high school. She has consistently improved over her career, and we are looking forward to that continued trajectory," Fralick said. She has the ability to impact the game in multiple ways and her endless motor is fun to coach. "Jocelyn is a very versatile player with a lot of experience. Prior to Bowling Green, Tate played at Pickerington Central High School, where she helped to Tigers to the state championship in 2018. Last season, she averaged 8.4 points and a team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game. In two seasons as a Falcon, Tate played in 70 games, averaging 8.4 points per game. Tate is a 5-10 guard/forward, who is quite familiar with Coach Fralick, having played two seasons at Bowling Green under Fralik. Her experience, love of playing and ability to score efficiently will be great additions to our program. "Lauren is a proven scorer and relentless worker. Before her time at WMU, the Muskegon native earned first-team All-State honors at Reeths-Puffer High School. At the time of her injury, Ross led the Mid-American Conference in scoring, averaging 21.8 ppg. She played in 17 games during the 2022-23 season before suffering a knee injury that ended her season. She averaged 18.2 points per game during her time with the Broncos. Ross is a 5-10 guard who comes to Michigan State from Western Michigan. They all are talented players who will add a lot to our team, and we can't wait to get to work," Fralick said.

"We are so excited that Lauren Ross, Jocelyn Tate and Mary Meng are joining the women's basketball program at Michigan State. The Spartans add graduate transfer Lauren Ross (Muskegon, Michigan), junior Jocelyn Tate (Pickerington, Ohio) and freshman Mary Meng (Grafton, Ohio). Michigan State head women's basketball coach, Robyn Fralick announced the addition of three players to the 2023-24 roster.
